SWITCHGEAR ASSEMBLIES

The safety, stability and continuity of the power equipment that plays a decisive role in building modern energy infrastructure is the cornerstone of every project. As NTD, drawing on our many years of experience in energy management, our strong engineering capability and our innovative production base, we carry out the bespoke design, assembly and manufacture of 6/10/35 kV switchgear assemblies and modern SF6 (gas-insulated) cubicles. We do not simply assemble equipment; we deliver individual, fully optimised engineering solutions tailored to the specific network configuration, load requirements and operating conditions of each facility.

Our company assembles the following types of cubicle, fully compliant with the international IEC standards and the technical conditions of local energy operators:

  • structural design and manufacture of 6 kV, 10 kV and 35 kV medium-voltage cubicles;
  • production of incoming, outgoing, sectionalising and metering cubicles;
  • integration of vacuum and other switching devices;
  • installation of current and voltage transformers;
  • assembly of busbar systems and internal electrical connections;
  • arrangement of cable connections and cable compartments;
  • integration of relay protection, automation and control equipment;
  • installation of metering and monitoring systems;
  • implementation of secondary circuit schemes;
  • marking of internal wiring and its alignment with the schematic documentation;
  • verification of the functional and electrical parameters of the equipment;
  • post-assembly technical inspection and testing under factory conditions;
  • on-site installation, connection and commissioning work.

In equipping the cubicles and selecting the switching devices (vacuum circuit breakers, load break switches, earthing switches), we use only components from premium brands proven on the global market. Microprocessor-based relay protection and automation (RPA) systems are fully digitalised and programmed in a format that can be integrated into SCADA systems. The metal enclosures of our cubicles are cut and bent with high precision on CNC machines from specially corrosion-resistant, galvanised or Aluzinc-coated sheet. They are maximally resistant to external influences and to the thermal effects of internal arcing (LSC2B-PM classification). Powder coating technology raises the service life of the enclosure to more than 30 years.

Every distribution cubicle that leaves the NTD line undergoes rigorous testing in our in-house test laboratory before being dispatched to site:

  • Dielectric withstand test of the insulation (high-voltage test)
  • Measurement of contact resistance
  • Verification of the mechanical switching and interlocking systems
  • Simulation testing of the relay protection

We provide an official warranty and responsive 24/7 technical service for the equipment we manufacture. All our production processes comply with the international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
